Delphinium Misty Lavender
We immediately fell in love with the vintage colour of the unique Delphinium Misty Lavender: a subtle shade of light lavender and slate grey. Its flowers are somewhat more delicate than those of many other varieties of larkspur, with an almost paper-like texture and an understated yet very beautiful appearance. Dried, the flowers are a stunning addition to every bouquet. You can also use the dried blooms to make natural confetti. Delphinium Misty Lavender is a beautiful summer flower for every border, adding a delightful splash of colour to your garden all summer long. Deadhead regularly and they will continue to bloom. This larkspur variety is therefore an ideal cut flower for a picking garden.

Annual flower seeds
All our flower seeds produce flowers that are suitable for use as cut flowers. They are also used by professional nurseries and floriculture companies. For flower seeds to be considered high-quality, they need to have outstanding germination capacity and energy and therefore yield a high percentage of flowering plants. All seeds are annuals, which means that they have a lot of growing power: they go through all the stages – from a seed to a flowering plant that, in turn, produces new seeds – in the space of just one season. Most flowers bloom for about three to five months. A rule of thumb in this is that the more flowers you pick, the faster they will grow back! All our seeds are untreated and uncoated, and are also suitable as starting material for growing organic flowers.
Planting instructions:
- Plant in moist soil to which the seeds stick for best germination.
- Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil of approx. 0.5 cm.
- Grow in fertile, well-drained soil.
- Give them a sunny spot and sufficient protection from strong winds. Support if necessary.
- Water regularly.
To obtain the best spikes, thin out the shoots when they are 7 cm tall, ensuring that at least 2-3 shoots remain on the young plants. Harvest the Delphinium flowers when 1/4 to 1/3 of the flowers on the stem have opened. Put in water immediately after cutting. If you want to dry larkspur, wait until the flowers have opened completely. As their hollow stems are vulnerable to heavy rain or strong gusts of wind, we recommend giving them a bit of support by means of netting or stakes. As this plant is toxic, be careful with children and pets!
